Set in modern day Los Angeles; Jared Knight, an introverted artist, falls in love with Serenity Prescott in 12th grade. While high school is filled and torn out with blood, tears, and fraudulent words, their romance is a repetitive circle. Serenity can't leave her abusive boyfriend she has chosen over Jared in desperate acts of attention seeking and chronic lying, but there's another dark side to her; she'll do anything to have Jared hopeless for her, no matter what. As she slowly starts feeding him lies and playing the sweet and innocent act, stalking him has become a daily act. Obsessed, Jared's friends begin to notice her strange behavior. Psychopath in the making, Serenity finds herself completely empty and devastated at Jared finally leaving her for a new girl. For the love Serenity thinks she so badly deserves, she's out to get revenge on Jared and return back with his heart-literally. After all, they do say revenge is a dish best served cold.
