The world's economies are still rebounding from the Great Recession with varying degrees of success. International competition from new players is eroding the lead of more established economies. And environmental pressures are calling into question the sustainability of our development models over the next decades. The latest edition of the O ECD Science, Technology, and Industry Scoreboard provides the statistical information necessary to define effective responses to these challenges. Policy and country profiles demonstrate the driving role that science, technology and innovation play in sustaining the recovery and fostering growth.
