A female bodyguard that has been deemed small in stature by the opposing male bodyguard. I put this book off for awhile because I expected something to do with children. Should have look closer at the cover or even read the blurb. My fault. This is a series on assassins. Not the usual lighthearted writing from this author but still plenty of sarcasm, strong female leads and protective men falling in love even if they think they aren’t ready. Love conquers all. Brash, entertaining and yes, a bit bloody in a superficial way, this series is worth the read. And as usual, the epilogue leads you to wanting to immediately proceed to the next in the series.
