Guilt broke his spirit. Can a stranger with a ton of baggage of her own, help him whether the storm that is pulling him under? Come Undone is a battering ram to the heart. Penny Dee tackles subjects not easy to explore with a sensitive touch. Out of pain comes salvation. Two hearts ghosting through life, find solace in helping each other heal. Jake and Mackenzie force us to experience the ugly before we find our way into the beauty. One tissue is never enough for all the teardrops. A haunting tale of love lost and hope found. I was a little upset when I started reading this book, not the way you would imagine why I would be upset..Why am? Well because unfortunately for me I had picked some other books to read before this one and the other books just didn't do it for me and then I started reading this one and was like wow why did I wait? This book was great I totally fell in love with Jake and to top it off he was a hockey player and I love myself some hockey players..Jake had been thru some emotional times and I think that Mackenzie showed up just when he needed her. I also enjoyed Mackenzie she was a smart woman who did what needed to get done..I wont tell you more my friends but encourage you to grab a copy and as always Enjoy! Overall Opinion:
First losing his family then his best friend, Jake finds his world crashing down and now all he can hold on to is a half-empty bottle of bourbon. Then just when he's drowning his sorrows at a local bar, Mackenzie struts in and knocks the breath out of him, proclaiming that she's his new sports agent. Chasing after him for a chance to help him make a comeback, she follows him to his grandfathers logged cabin in which they both get snowed in after getting hit by a winter snow storm. For four long days, sexual tension rises and the duo find it more than difficult to denied the growing attraction. And just before they know what hit them, an unlikely romance ensues.
Once I saw Penny Dee name on the cover, I jumped for joy to read another series by the talented author. She has always had a way with words and is easily able to create a solid group of characters that anyone is able to relate to. The real life struggles of the lead characters brought a different element to the book, arising readers emotions and allowing them to wish for their happily ever after. Mackenzie and Jake were the missing puzzle piece for each other and I have loved how they were able to encourage one other to overcome their past struggles. Their witty banter had me dying and their strong connection made me swoon. Moreover, like any typical relationship, there are some highs and lows yet Mackenzie and Jake are able to persevere and create a lasting love. Once again, Penny Dee blew me out of the water with this captivating sports romance series.
