Covering everything from size, relation to other planets, and even a bit of geology this is a good title for elementary students needing information on Earth. Colorful images help add interest to the material and provide additional explanation with captions. Important terms such as terrestrial, diameter, crust, and axis are in bold. Definitions of each bolded word are provided in the text and in the back of the book. An index makes information easy to locate and a list of resources allows those eager for more to easily find additional information. Some images may be confusing. For example, on page 10, the earth and the sun are shown very close together. The scale is also not accurate. Though the caption states that Earth would appear smaller, it is unclear why the image does not reflect actual scales. A lot of terms are introduced in this book. The simple language makes this a good introductory title to such concepts. Shorter chapters also make this title and its concepts less daunting. Good for reports or for those simply interested in knowing more about our planet. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
