"This endlessly fun and hugely entertaining romp through Europe had me laughing out loud and reaching for my passport." â??Jennifer E. Smith, author of Windfall

A POPSUGAR Best Young Adult Novel of 2017!

Nineteen-year-old Sydney has the perfect summer mapped out. She's spending the next four and a half weeks travelling through Europe with her childhood best friend Leela. Their plans include Eiffel Tower selfies, eating cocco gelato, and making out with très hot strangers.

Her plans do not include Leela's cheating ex-boyfriend showing up on the flight to London, falling for the cheating ex-boyfriend's très hot friend, monitoring her mother's spiraling mental health via texts, or feeling like the rope in a friendship tug of war.

In this hilarious and unforgettable adventure, New York Times bestselling author Sarah Mlynowski tells the story of a girl learning to navigate secret romances, thorny relationships, and the London Tube. As Sydney zigzags through Amsterdam, Switzerland, Italy, and France, she must learn when to hold on, when to keep moving, and when to jump into the Riviera...wearing only her polka dot underpant… (plus d'informations)

I didn't feel like I could connect with the characters and I occasionally felt secondhand embarrassment. Other than that, I liked the locations described and the food adventure. ( )

I was immediately drawn to the travel aspect of two friends traveling to Europe for the first time. Although I'm not a fan of books that are heavily for young adults involving themes that are not suitable for younger teens, this book was a good one to read.

I loved that it traveled to multiple locations and kept me guessing at every turn. Sydney's concern and worry for her family were realistic. Younger teens would not like this, but older teens/college students might. Definitely glad I got this. ( )

I read my first Sarah Mlynowski book years ago, and I loved it. I have always wanted to pick up more of her work so I was excited to find this on Book Outlet.

This was a very cute YA traveling read. It really made me want to travel Europe even more than I already do. I enjoyed learning about different things at each stop within the journey of our characters.

This does deal with anxiety issues for both Sydney and her mother as well. You get to see how Sydney starts to feel she may take after her mother as she faces anxiety throughout their trip. You also get to see Sydney letting go of feeling it is her responsibility to help her mother manage the anxiety and how her mother starts to take steps to help with her issues.

I felt the ending was rushed, and I wanted more. I was not a huge fan of how it ended. I wanted more with the ending between Sydney and Jackson.

Overall all, this was a really fun read and I am glad I gave it a chance. ( )

Reading Level: High School (Mature Audience)

19 year old Sydney and her friend, Leela head off to Europe for a trip of a lifetime. During this trip Sydney deals with grown up issues such as, falling in love, having an overbearing friend, and issues that were left behind at home. This trip helps Sydney grow and become her own person.

I thought it was a great summer contemporary.

Yes, I did recommend this book for high school MA because it does have content that talks about drinking, smoking pot, seeing a sex show in Amsterdam, and having sex. I see it all in good fun. Enjoy! ( )
