I like the world and I liked the characters, but there was some dragging. Looking forward to the next in the series because I cannot quit dragon shifters. ( ) Interesting start to the series. This is a curious world I've entered. Where the heroes are not quite men, but are actually sort of dragon shifters. I say "sort of" because they never become completely human. They're still dragons, but just in a more human like form. It will be interesting to see how unique each story can be. Because so far it seems like each book will be about a dragon capturing a woman he believes is his mate and then making her his mate without her really knowing what she's getting into because they can't really communicate. That could get old after awhile, but we'll see. Another fun read from Ruby Dixon. I really enjoy post apocalyptic stuff so this is right up my alley. A pretty good world building effort. Decent rational for the whole dragon thing. The writing was very good. You could hear and see the dragons in your mind. I liked the interaction between the dragon hero and our heroine. The whole learning to know you thing. The thing that held it back from more stars from me was there were too many sex scenes. I felt that some more story could have been told instead of 2 maybe 3 extra sex scenes that were just more of the same. You have a post apocalyptic world, use it. That's not to say the sex scenes were poorly written, because they weren't. Just that I know how sex works. I don't know the intricacies of how your people are dealing with their ravaged world. Show me that. It's a post-apocalyptic world where dragons terrorize, destroy, and kill. The remaining cities have turned themselves into forts enclosed by ruined and abandoned cars to keep the survivors safe. Claudia is a survivor who scrapes by the best she can, scavenging and stealing to support herself, her sister Amy, and their friend Sasha. Until she gets caught and her punishment is to be sacrificed to a dragon, to either tame it or perish. This book did exactly what a Ruby Dixon book is supposed to do: deliver a fast, fun, and incredibly sexy read. The FMC was feisty and witty. The MMC was sexy and possessive. The spicy scenes were ghost pepper hot. This is one I feel like I could revisit for a quick jolt to a reading slump. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Appartient à la sérieFireblood Dragon (1)
Years ago, the skies ripped open and the world was destroyed in fire and ash. Dragons-once creatures of legend-are the enemy. Vicious and unpredictable, they rule the skies of the ruined cities, forcing humanity to huddle behind barricades for safety. Claudia's a survivor. She scrapes by as best as she can in a hard, dangerous world. When she runs afoul of the law, she's left as bait in dragon territory. She only has one chance to survive-to somehow "tame" a dragon and get it to obey her. Except the dragon that finds her is as wild and brutal as any other . . . and he's not interested in obeying. What he is interested in is a mate. Contains mature themes. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
