This story is about a young girl who loves to be outdoors and explore! She is then sent a tutu by her Uncle Leo... but how to be a ballerina? She gets advice from the neighbor and mailman. She realizes that the tutu isn’t for her, but she can still dance and try to be the best ballerina she could be! Turns out, Uncle Leo sent the wrong outfit to her. He meant to send a jungle safari outfit so she can explore the great outdoors. ( ) This is the story of Emma, a little girl who loves things like lizards, pirates and cowboy boots. She is quite surprised when she receives a ballerina costume from her Uncle Leo. Why would he do that?, she thinks. She doesn't know how to be a ballerina but in humorous fashion, those who pass by all have different advice on what she needs to do in order to be a ballerina. It is even more humorous to watch Emma try to do the things they suggest. Then she decides that she will be the one who determines what THIS ballerina does. When she is leaping around the room in her very unique ballerina style, Uncle Leo comes and she gives him her first show! He claps and tells her how well she did, but that he never really saw her as a ballerina. It is then that we learn that Uncle Leo does know his niece and that the true gift was switched with the ballerina costume! This will make a great read aloud book to older preschoolers and young elementary students. It is humorous and has a good lesson that you should be who you want to be! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
