En la profundidad de la selva amazónica, una joven estadounidense y el hijo de los dueños de una plantación se enamoran locamente. Para Tanya y Shannon, la vida es un paraíso con el que la mayoría solo sueña- Pero el día de hoy, el paraíso termina. La selva ha dado a luz más que un amor idílico. También ha producido perversidad insidiosa. Perversidad envuelta en una trama tan diabólicamente brillante que Estados Unidos caerá completamente de rodillas a manos de unos cuantos terroristas. El plan se ejecuta a la perfección. No hay salida, excepto una anciana cuyo oscuro pasado le ha llevado a una vida de oración en preparación para el terror inefable que está a punto de desatarse.

Dit vond ik helaas toch een minder boek van Ted Dekker. Heel erg gelovig en komt dus, voor mij, heel erg naïef en ongeloofwaardig over. (

Tanya and Shannon grew up in the jungles of Venezuela, where they shared an idyllic love in what to them was paradise. Their world is shattered when terrorists attack Shannon's plantation and Tanya's mission--killing their families and sending them running for their lives. Flash forward to the future, and Tanya has changed her name, but she can't escape her memories of the past. But her troubling visions seem to be sending her back to Venezuala--the very place she doesn't want to go. But she may be the only one who can stop the terrorists who still inhabit her childhood home.
Dekker as usual serves up a fast paced adventure laced with elements of the supernatural. If you want a story to keep you on the edge of your seat, Dekker never dissapoints. (
