Instant #1 New York Times bestseller!

A young attorney tries her first case . . . and it's Murder One in a legal thriller from the world's #1 bestselling writer.
Ruby Bozarth, a newcomer to Rosedale, Mississippi, is also fresh to the Mississippi Barâ??and to the docket of Circuit Judge Baylor, who taps Ruby as defense counsel in a racially charged felony.

Now this is James Patterson. Thought provoking, well developed characters and a full storyline make this one of the better Patterson books I’ve read in a while. When it popped up as available in my list, I wasn’t even excited as I’d gotten so disheartened with his books. Glad I picked it up. Well worth it. ( )

A fun book with a rookie lawyer taking on a first criminal case. Good characters and plot. If this will be a new series I'll be reading more. ( )

One of the better James Patterson's recent books. Nothing unexpected in the writing but as with the vast majority of James Patterson's book a very good story. Characters were a little more cardboard and usual but the story didn't really require strong characters. Honestly it was a fun read. ( )

I was a bit disappointed with this novel. It started well, and I enjoyed following Ruby as she tried her first cast in court, but then it moved onto a totally different case, with a very weak link between the two at the end. The first storyline was far more interesting than the second one - I thought Lee Green, Ruby's second client, was a spoilt, rich jackass.

Ruby Bozarth was, by far, the best thing about "Juror #3". I liked her tough, no-frills attitude and her determination to be successful despite her humble beginnings. I also liked Suzanne, Lee's aunt, but the other characters were flat and uninspiring.

"Juror #3". was an okay novel, but I have certainly read better by Patterson. ( )
