I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I have previously read all of Marek Halter's biblical women series as well as the Women of the Bible series by Orson Scott Card. While I liked this version of Adam and Eve, I have already read another fictional version of Eve's trials, which I happened to like better. This version is kind of dull and dry. I especially didn't enjoy how helpless Adam continued to believe that Eve was. While it is believable that Eve would feel unfulfilled and ignorant in the garden, her inability to have any remorse for her actions didn't seem very realistic, especially when dealing with starvation and frostbite. I did like the idea of Lucifer always watching, waiting for an opportunity to strike. I was left wondering what would have happened had she taken Lucifer up on his offer to leave Adam, just to spark some drama and liven up the story. But I'm still left with questions about the "other brother" magical form that appeared and was not Lucifer. Overall not my favorite fictional account of Eve. ( )
