( ) While the book is small it I didn't realize almost half of it was a preview of another book so this in reality is a novella. It's short, meant to be a holiday feel good but I felt like it needed more development. They start out with each believing the other did them wrong in high school and during a snow storm drive fix all things and fall in love. Things left unexplained and it just didn't work for me, but the dog is awesome. ARC REVIEW: ONE SNOWY NIGHT ( HEARTBREAKER BAY) BY JILL SHALVIS One Snowy Night by Jill ShalvisMy rating: 5 of 5 starsARC Review: One Snowy Night (Heartbreaker Bay) by Jill ShalvisI always have a blast reading Jill Shalvis. She puts her heart into her story and that love shines thru. Charming stories and irresistible characters are my weakness and this author put that on full display with One Snowy Night. Max and Rory are on a collision course with fate and nothing can stop the impact. When a writer can humanize an animal enough to steal the story without taking away from the plot line, I know she's a winner. The only bummer is that the trip was over too soon.View all my reviews Rory Andrews was actually going home! To a place she left 6 years ago; Rory had left in her junior year, after setting off a chain of events, that changed everyone else's life. She had worked hard and got her GED and had been barely making ends meet at the South Bark Mutt Shop, but Rory had been getting her life together and was determined not to let her family down, like she had for the past 6 years. But instead of taking trains and busses to Tahoe, she somehow ended up with Max! the man whom hated her! And his dog Carl, that loved her! Max had lost everything when Rory handed a tape into their high school before she quit town, and despite the fact that he had a great job and life, he still harbored some resentment to Rory…that, and a heck of a lot of sexual frustration. But when Willa talked Max in to giving Rory a ride home (not that it took much), he wasn't expecting to have his whole opinion of her change. One Snowy Night is an amazing story! It gives me that A Christmas Carol feeling that, where everyone gets a chance at a fresh start. I LOVE Rory's character, I loved her when she was in The Trouble with Mistletoe, but she really comes into her own in this novella. Max has also shown a side we haven't seen before; a softer side, that makes him seem a little more softer…and more delicious. The plot and writing in this book is truly superb! And I have to say that I have really fallen in love with this Jill Shalvis series! And One Snowy Night is my favorite one so far! And I hope it never ends!! I give One Snowy Night 5 stars!! aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis returns to Heartbreaker Bay with a fun and festive holiday novella! It's Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to the family she hasn't seen in years. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, and his big, goofy, lovable dog Carl. Hours stuck in a truck with the dead sexy Max sounds like a fate worse than death (not), but Rory's out of options. She's had a crush on Max since high school and she knows he's attracted to her, too. But they have history... and Max is the only one who knows why it went south. They've done a good job of ignoring their chemistry so far, but a long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past... and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
