This excellent graphic novel is set somewhat in the future, where 17-year old Jon Kent finds himself the recipient of a birthright he never knew he had coming to him. He never knew that his long-dead father, Clark Kent, was also the long-dead Superman. Jon finds himself embroiled in a terrorist plot to liberate a superhero the world had long thought dead, and is astonished to find that his dead father isn't quite as dead as he had thought. A fascinating and compelling Superman story, with pathos and light humor and some unexpected supporting cast members. There are not nearly as many good "Superman" graphic novels as there are of Batman; this is one of the better ones. ( )
