It's like BMB just wants to prove to himself that Marvel will pay him for anything. There's nothing to recommend about this book. Endless missed opportunities - especially for a series launch. So they went for plotless set-ups to inconsequential fight scenes with D-List characters Marvel should have retired 40 years ago. Two stars for the art not stinking up the pages - although the panel progression was a confusing mess at least once in each issue. Time to go on a Bendis bender! (#3 of 8) It's a little rough for me to come to terms with Miles Morales in the 616. Points off for being another Marvel book where two or more people share the same name in the same place like that's not stupid. As in any workplace, it has to result in stupid nicknames or awkward use of last initials. I want to know how people in the street of the Marvel Universe refer to the multiple Hawkeyes, Thors, Captain Americas, etc., and how quickly it becomes incredibly offensive. This isn't bad for a repilot, but I wish it had not been necessary. Ran across this in the library and thought that as much as I am a fan of Miles Morales in theory, it was about time I actually read some of the comics. I liked this story, but since reading it I've watched the new Spider-Man movie and I am now a little weirded out by how many Miles Morales plot points they gave to Tom Holland's Peter Parker. Really? If you wanted to make a Miles Morales movie, why not do that? Anyway, about the book. I liked this Spider-Man update. Love Miles crushing on Ms. Marvel, and love his friend working to create him a support system even though it pissed Miles off in the short term. Miles is very likeable. I may have to follow this a bit. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Comic and Graphic Books.
Young Adult Fiction.
HTML: Collects Spider-Man (2016) #1-5. Miles Morales is hitting the big time! Not only is he joining the Marvel Universe, but he's also a card-carrying Avenger, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Iron Man, Thor and Captain America! And he'll soon be a media sensation in this All-New, All-Different New York! One thing's the same, though: non-stop action! Like when Earth's Mightiest heroes all fall, and Miles stands alone against a villain with the power to destroy the universe. Or when the Black Cat tries to get her claws in this new Spider-Man. Or when a new mutant threatens to grab the spotlight! And don't forget Miles' toughest foe yet: his grandmother! But his grades might be the ultimate challenge â?? maybe a study session (date?) with Ms. Marvel would help? Welcome to the neighborhood, Spider-Man â?? hope it's friendly Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

This felt to me more like an Avengers episode than helping learn more about Miles. I'll be curious to see how other editions will develop his storylines. ( )
