I got so caught up in reading this that I hardly noticed the time fly by. Alas, only time flying by me, not Rhysand. Was living for all the Nesta and Cassian moments, I won't lie. I got very emotional reading this one. There is not much else to say that others have not said already. This is the 2nd best ACOTAR story so far, in my opinion. ( ) 4.5 stars only because I didn’t like the direct biblical references specifically the recycling of the story of Moses and the whole lambs blood on the thresholds of the doors thing, I thought they were cringey and lazy. It also brought me out of the story and into reality again which is the opposite of what I want from a fantasy book. BUT that being said, I loved the rest of the book it was amazing and such an emotional roller coaster and I sobbed a lot. Can’t wait to read the next one! On the romance side, this was a fun book. There were parts I really enjoyed and it was nice to see our favorite characters' relationships grow. On the fantasy and writing side, this was a mess. For how long this book was, we should have seen more character and plot development. The pacing was all over the place and too much information was introduced quickly, not leaving enough time for things to breathe and be impactful. The ending was needlessly rushed and cluttered. Things that held significance in the first two books lose their meaning in this book because it's an easy way for Maas to tie up loose ends. I wanted to read the rest of the series for the romance but am not interested in spending so much time sifting through the mess of a plot. As the High Lady of the Night Court, Feyre faces her greatest challenge yet as all of the courts must face the oncoming invasion force of Hybern. The politics and worldbuilding are still on display here and the plot continues to keep me interested enough. There are a few character moments here that I cared about but I'm still sending a lot of snarky texts to my friend as I read. Enough plot threads are wrapped up here that depending on how much you care, you could stop the series here and feel satisfied. I'll continue my journey with series, while likely being just as snarky about it as ever. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

(www.lamartinierejeunesse.fr).
