Pete and his friend Gus investigate the source of their quickly disappearing cupcakes. The reader identifies clues in the colorfully illustrated story until no cupcakes remain. A fun way to introduce the concepts of forgiveness and making amends. The rhyming pentameter is fun and engaging. ( ) This was a very cute book to implement counting and learning of numbers, but it also had another lesson that was sometimes we do the wrong thing and admit it and our friends should be willing to give us a second chance. Pete was willing to let toad make up for taking and eating all the cupcakes, which was a nice thing to do as a friend. Pete the Cat and the missing cupcakes it's another book from the adventures of pete the cat by the illustrator and writer James Dean. This book is about Pete the cat and his friend Gus making cupcakes for everyone. After they finished they counted them and concluded they had 10. But when they got distracted a second, they see that some cupcakes are missing. Pete and Gus go in an adventure to solve the mystery of the missing cupcakes. They go around to ask their friends (which are character from previous Pete the Cat books) and at the end they solve the case and discover that it was Grumpy Toad. They forgive him and Grumpy Toad shows up with new cupcakes he made for all his friends for the cupcake party. The book includes rhymes, counting situations and of course social-emotional aspects. It's a great book! Pete the Cat makes cupcakes for his upcoming party but soon the cupcakes start going missing! Join Pete and his friends as they search for clues to find the culprit. This is a fun mystery for the youngest of readers. It is also a simple maths book, but it doesn't seem as didactic or dull as many other counting books. Like all other Pete the Cat books, there is a lyrical style to the text, which makes it a fun read-aloud with repetitive phrases that kids will enjoy. The illustrations are bright and colorful. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
