I love this series and the diversity of characters that are featured. Lila is deaf, which makes communicating with her new hunky alien rescuer very difficult, but he is patient and tries to understand her. But survival on an ice planet is difficult without community. Can she find her place amongst the tribe, or will she always feel different and left out? ( ) Huh. I am surprised at the negative reviews, and surprised that I am not, apparently, reading this series for the smut. Or maybe not _only_ the smut. I liked Rokan and Lila. I really liked Lila's deaf-experience storyline. And as much as it is totally hokey and unbelievable, I love the revelations that the ice planet offers -- mysterious cave of fruit? Metlaks with rudimentary communication? What will happen next???? Yep, I'm interested to find out. Not at all sure about the next couple, though. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
When I wake up on the ice planet, I'm scared of everything: this place is cold, silent, and the locals look more like blue devils than aliens. To make matters worse, one of the strangers decides I'm going to be his girlfriend and kidnaps me away from my sister. I'm completely and utterly alone. What's a girl to do? Well, this girl escapes. Of course, that means I go from frying pan into the fire, and my situation gets even more dangerous. Just when I have no hope left, a new hero appears. Sure, he's blue, horned, and has a tail. He's also fierce, protective, makes me purr . . . and thinks I'm perfect. But is what we have real or just a mating instinct? Contains mature themes.
