This novel is intense and great reading. I intend to grab the second one Show of evil, which will join everything up nicely. The end of Stampler was a true bonus. Thoroughly good reading. ( ) this is the third in the primal fear trilogy, and it is *so* much better than the second one was. this is mostly a story about terrorism, but not from today's perspective; it focuses on in-country hate groups. how could i resist liking a story that's basically about oppression, one of my favorite things to bring to light for people? so that might be the only reason i found it more engaging than the second book, but that's good enough for me. I've included this book in a review of several similar books here: http://douggeivett.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/mysterious-opening-lines-le-carre-lu... There's a problem with ongoing characters - how to keep what happens to them interesting and plausible. For a particularly implausible, overdramatic 'whatever happened to', see Tom Clancy and where Jack Ryan ended up. This one's much the same. Not great to read, kinda like Jack Ryan becoming president. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
