Just didn't do much for me, which wasn't helped by the fact that they brought doughnuts into the library. We have way too many kids trying to bring food into the library as it is. ( )

The kids loved the monster and it leant itself well to reading aloud in funny voices. I loved the library setting. ( )

This book is about two brothers who go to the library on Saturday mornings. One day, they hear a very loud noise that disrupts their reading time. It was green monsters who were destroying the library because they thought it was a bad restaurant. The librarian helped the monsters out and read them a story. One of the brothers gives the monsters donuts that settle them down. He knew that monsters love donuts because he previously had read them in a book. This book teaches kids that libraries are meant to keep quiet and that reading books can be handy and gives people more knowledge on certain things. ( )

A pair of brothers (or brother and monster?) go to the library with their dad, but their day is disrupted by a many-headed monster who, upon finding books not delicious, wants to eat them instead. They distract it with donuts and explain that books are for reading, not eating ("WHAT? You mean this whole restaurant is filled with things we can't eat?!!"). ( )
