Cute and clever ( ) Witches are afraid of humans, but one brave little witch isn’t. She has done her homework, and one Halloween night she decides to fly in for a closer look to see what the human are up to. Humans do have some strange habits. When she decides to fly in for an even closer look, she bumps in to a real little girl. Though both are a tiny bit afraid of each other, they soon become fast friends. The Bottom Line: This easy to read picture book is perfect for little ones who are a bit shy about making friends. McGhee’s gentle story about overcoming differences along with Bliss’ engaging illustrations will appeal to kids in grades PreK – K. Enthusiastically recommended for story time reading too. This review also appears at the Mini Book Bytes Book Review Blog. I really like this book because it offers a new twist on Halloween and overcoming you fears. It also plays on the idea of being acceptable of others differences. At the end of the book, the brave witch realizes that her fear of humans was irrational and that she shouldn't have had preconceived notions of humans. it could teach students to face fears, and also get to know each other before placing stereo types. A Very Brave Witch is a trade book about a young witch describing what she does on Halloween night. The illustrations in A Very Brace Witch is filled will color from top to bottom. It is very detailed and clearly drawn. Teachers can use this book in the classroom by teaching about the Halloween season. I enjoyed the book a lot because it describes what happens on Halloween night. It's exciting, but could be scary too. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
