The History of the Barclay Hotel

It is a short book for the most part. I do enjoy local history and find it enjoyable to read. After reading this I would definitely love to see the place. It is quite apparent that the author is emotionally invested in the place and that I found pleasant. It is mostly a bunch of data collection. I would have probably switched chapters around and ended with her own personal experience. Lastly the works cited part of the book is very thorough but almost overwhelming, perhaps a smaller font would be more appealing. Much of it is internet research, but I have to admit I used the internet to follow up on several things I had never heard of. ( )
