In the vibrant, volatile court of Henry VIII, can even the most willful young woman direct her own fate and follow her heart in a world ruled by powerful men?

3.5 stars - enjoyable YA Tudor set book focusing on Katherine Howard through a made up cousin Eliza who tells the story ( )

Such a frustrating book.

The historical detail is exquisite. The plot, based on history, is intriguing. But I simply couldn't connect with the main characters. I found the ending implausible but at least it was a happy ending.

An historical young adult novel about a young lady who is sent to the court of King Henry VIII, presumably to find a suitable husband. The story is interesting and informative. I am far from a young adult, but I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Since it's by Lucy Worsley, I knew the history would be impeccably researched. ( )

I felt that this was a fairly good YA book. The characters were well written and the story had good pacing. I am a fan of historical fiction so this was an enjoyable read. The use of a character from the time period that is not often written about made it a fresh read. ( )

This book is really good but at times I had to remind myself that it was a teen book. It read so much like an adult book at times. It was good though and I feel like it would make a really good movie. ( )
