This is a great book that is written by someone who loves someone with Asperger's. It reminds me of a T-shirt I saw a person wearing once that said "Autism is my superpower. What is yours?" It is such a positively empowering statement, that I almost wished I had Autism! I am more of a sidekick to those with Autism, so that is my superpower. This book has lovely bold illustrations and helps readers to understand a bit more about Asperger's, Autism and Sensory processing disorders. Enjoy. ( )

Meet Isaac whose wonderful memories, energy, sensitivity to sounds and difficulty with eye contact set him apart from his peers. This is a cheerful and informative story that describes both the positive and challenging aspects of Isaac’s Asperger’s superpowers. The colorful and fun illustrations make this a very kid-friendly introduction to Asperger’s syndrome and autism spectrum disorders. Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome Resources.

This picture book follows a young boy named Isaac who has Asperger's; he explains to the readers that he is not that different from them at all. ( )

This adorable children's book is about a young boy with Asperger's. He tells of his wonderful superpowers and what he can do, painting them in a better highlight when others would say their negative traits. This book is important and has child-friendly language, so any student can understand how Asperger's affects some people and how they can be supportive of them. The illustrations allow children to get a deeper view of what it's like living Asperger's and how their friends who have this type of Autism are not so different from you and I. ( )

Alex is not a real superhero, but he has Asperger's Syndrome. This disability means that his brain works differently than other peoples'. Hopefully by reading about Alex's journey, the reader gets a better grasp on people with Asperger's Syndrome. Alex describes his brain as "fantastic" which also shines a positive light on this disability, not making it seem like something that people should fear. ( )
