This book is very practical and helpful especially for those just starting out or those wanting to be reminded of the urgency of the work for every Christian. The author uses his own experiences to explain the paralysis of fear that comes over a person when they find themselves talking about faith or just prior to that conversation. I'm sure that all of us can relate to this!
The author then gives some simple advice to be followed when sharing including steering the conversations straight towards Jesus and later the cross. He encourages perseverance and finishes with a reminder that success in evangelism is all a work of the Holy Spirit in a person's heart so we must pray...
I can't quite give it five stars just because I felt that some of the sample conversations were a little unrealistic. In practice, there is a very big gap now between believers and non-believers and I think the author assumes that Joe Public will have certain knowledge/understand or be interested in certain concepts that they just don't understand/aren't interested in. The challenge now is finding ways to communicate the essential truths of the Gospel so that people can see the relevance and necessity, without compromising the message.
I enjoyed this book and recommend it for all believers. ( )
