The last in a long line of women sworn to guard our world against evil, jeweller Garet James is struggling to come to terms with who – or what – she really is. Will Hughes, the alluring four-hundred-year-old vampire who tasted her blood and saved her life, could help, but he’s disappeared. Garet believes he’s in France, searching for the Summer Country, the legendary land of the Fey where he might be freed from his vampire curse. Desperate to understand her legacy, Garet follows Will. In Paris, she encounters strange, mythic beings – an ancient botanist metamorphosed into the city’s oldest tree, a gnome who lives beneath the Labyrinth at the Jardin des Plantes, a dryad in the Luxembourg Gardens – meetings that convince her she is on the right path. But Garet is not the only one trying to find the way in to the Summer Country – and the closer she gets, the more dangerous it becomes... Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Comfort and Joy
Christmas comes but once a year
For Jesse Lawson, even that was too often. A legal-aid lawyer who fought a never-ending battle against poverty and injustice, he thought Christmas was a time-wasting, energy-sapping distraction from the realities of life.
To Robin Greer and her energetic seven-year-old son, Christmas was life. As they decorated their Connecticut home to the hilt and hung a zillion ornaments on their tree, Christmas became a promise of all the good things that might happen in the world --wonderful things that could touch Jesse's life if he'd only let them. Christmas was laughter, and love, and sometimes ... miracles.
Merry Christmas, Baby
BAH HUMBUG!
To Jake Travis, Christmas was just another day. The rough-and rugged carpenter knew little about jolly old elves in sleighs pulled by reindeer, even less about the care of newborn babies left alone in mangers, and nothing at all about love.
But this year, a freak accident and a winter storm would have him sharing the holiday season, snowbound in a fairy-tale castle, with an abandoned baby...a secretive Santa...and a beautiful blonde.
With the help of his instant family, could he go from Scrooge to Father Christmas ? ( )
