I received this book from Library Thing in exchange for an honest review.

As someone who is a fan of all things horror, this book was one I dove into rather easily. The pacing is good and the horrific descriptions were enough to make my skin crawl (and I mean that in the best way possible). As I read this story, the urgency in it was something I just ate up, as it is very much a story of good vs. evil. The only reason I'm not giving this book a higher rating is because, despite all of the build up, I felt like it fell somewhat flat. Not because it was bad, but because it just left a lot of things unfinished. Whether or not the author is planning a sequel, I have not been told, but without a second novel to tie things together, it just left me feeling disappointed by the inconclusive ending.

Hopefully the author will write another novel with these characters that finishes this story, because I feel like it has a lot of potential. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. ( )

Wow, great book, recommend it to all fans of Lovecraft and lovers of Horror. One of the first books to affect me for a very long while. I would place this book up there with Lovecraft and early King and Masterton.
