Another good story in this series (although I liked book one slightly more). This is book two in the series and the first 2 could be one big book, because as you finish one and start another, you begin right where the previous book left off. I strongly recommend they be read in the order they were written.

Hannah Cooper finds herself finishing her wagon train adventure, as they near their destination of Fort Bridger. Although she should be excited about arriving to set up their store, her and her children are having a hard time getting over the sudden death of Solomon Cooper, beloved husband and father of the Cooper family. But the folks of Fort Bridger do everything they can to make this family feel at home and take them under their wings and soon, though they miss Solomon, they begin to feel a part of this town. New friends will be made. But just when life is looking good, tragedy will strike again and Hannah will not know if she can go on. This is where the title of this story will have great meaning, "consider the lilies'.

I appreciate the writing style of the authors. As they say in the front of their book, "Our heart's desire in presenting this book and the ones that follow in the series is to encourage our Christian readers to more fully trust the Lord as they walk life's pathway. And for those readers who have never opened their hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and forgiveness of their sins, our prayer is that they might do so." I feel they did a great job of encouraging believers and of explaining the gospel message in this story, and doing it in a way the flowed with the whole story outline. I look forward to continuing this series. ( )
