This book is great for beginning readers because it involves a little girl whose homework assignment is to use her imagination to describe a planet she knows nothing about (except the color). Pinkalicious is excited when she learns that there is a Pink planet in the universe and she creates a whole world of pink for her homework assignment. Then she dreams about her planet and Pinkatonians that travel from Planet Pink to take her back to their planet. When she wakes up she realizes that there are pink paw prints in her room and she thinks they are from the Pinkatonians. She wakes up her family when trying to solve the mystery of the pink paw prints! ( ) While learning about the solar system in class, Pinkalicious is asked to think about the new pink planet scientists just discovered for homework. She comes up with a great idea of what happens in the pink planet and she decides she wants to travel there. She believes this planet is inhabited by “Pinktonians” or pink aliens. Pinkalicious says “If Pinktonians come to visit, they’ll want to meet me first. I’m the most pinkerrific, pink-loving person on the planet!” Pinkalicious wakes up in the middle of the night to a beam of light shining into her room. What is it? Is it an alien? A Pinktonian coming to take her to the new planet? Read Pinkalicious and Planet Pink to find out! The main idea of this story is to be careful what you wish for because it may just come true and the outcome may not be the way you perceived it to be. The light at the end of the tunnel may not be as bright as you thought. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
