I thought this book was a very heartfelt novel that really dealt with death in a unique way. The main character was not my favorite and the book really had too many characters that i met so fast and it was hard to keep them all straight and it made it much harder for me to get emotionally connected to all the characters. But it did show grief in a unique way. ( )

I think I need a dedicated WFT? bookshelf on Goodreads.

While I appreciate an attempt to tackle the subject of euthanasia, the adage of "It's the thought that counts" does not work here. This is a badly written piss poor execution of a not-terrible idea.

It's obnoxious and juvenile and completely odious and... OHMYGOD who the F allowed to print this?

Also (not entirely unrelated), while I can get behind the 'Death with Dignity' idea, throwing bodies into the ocean is WAY off base. Not only does this poison water, but also - image - all those corpses actually turning up in random places. All those ruined beach walks and fishing trips... Not to mention all those legal investigations and wrecked nerves, and very legitimate charges and prison time.
Just saying. ( )

Ughhh this was so good!

I've been on a contemporary kick lately, and this is one the best I've ever read. Written beautifully and full of moments that'll make you laugh out loud one second and cry the next, this is definitely not a book to be missed!

Absolutely loved it! ( )

Rating: 4 Stars

I loved this story. It was the kind of story I don't normally read, but enjoyed all the same. And I think I found a new YA genre to enjoy...stepping out of the box.

What gives this book 4 stars?

1.) It was a heartwarming story about family, friends who become family, and finding that perfect guy in the mist of all the sorrow.
2.) I loved the humor, sarcasticness, and inspiration of all the characters. The characters really developed wonderfully throughout the story.
3.) I liked the first person pov, it made me feel as though I was Maddie and experiencing everything she was seeing, feeling, and thinking.
4.) And lastly that cover, absolutely beautiful! The perfect tie-in for the story.

A must read! ( )
