Paulvitch aún sigue vivo, y trama su venganza contra Tarzán. Como parte de sus planes, engaña al hijo de Tarzán para que salga de Londres y caiga en sus manos. Pero el niño escapa con la ayuda del gran sinio Atkut, y ambos consiguen encontrar refugio en las salvajes junglas africanas, donde Tarzán se ha criado. En este ambiente totalmente ajeno a su educación civilizada el muchacho ha de aprender a enfrentarse con las grandes y feroces bestias, y a plantar cara a los peligros de la misma forma que su padre. Pronto se dará cuenta sin embargo, que las amenzas de la jungla apenas son comparables con las que proceden de los seres humanos

When I read this as a teen, I couldn't have enjoyed it more. A bodice-ripper, jungle style. (

Another good yarn if you can ignore some of the casual racism in the book. Thankfully that is not prevalent throughout the book and is, unfortunately, representative of the times. The book was somewhat slow to start for me and dragged out a bit longer than necessary, but when the action was on, it was on and fun. Prepare to suspend disbelief and just go along for the ride. (

This one's mostly about Tarzan's son, Jack, aka Korak the Killer. He too becomes a wild ape man. He also gets a girl who is way tougher and smarter than Jane. Of course, Burroughs has to go through incredible plot convolutions to make sure that he can find a wild girl of European stock in deepest Africa. No interracial romances for Burroughs! (
