After reading this book, I was seized with fear. I think this story is more horrible than any other horror novels.
I took long time to read this book. But it is valuable! At first, I could not understand well about newspeak. however, at page 41-43, I could understand them very much. For example, goodthinkers, crimestop, blackwhite and doublethink.
The most impressive part is putting Winston on the track in ministry of love. The scene is dreadful.
If such the case like this story became in real, what should I do? Can we stop the political power? ( )

This is the story of a terrible world where men are not even free to think their own thoughts.
I first read this book as a high school student, and it has always been one of my favourites. It was written more than sixty years ago as a warning, and some people say that its predictions about personal freedom are coming true - for example, nowadays there are security cameras watching us everywhere we go.
It is a dark book, with complex ideas, and for this reason I can't recommend it to everyone. But if you like a book which makes you think, and makes you scared, then you might find it interesting. ( )
