The change isn’t bad, just very different than the style of the previous volumes. The story arc develops in two different directions: aliens and conflict within Paradise Island. I expect the following volumes will allow the creative team to be more comfortable as they further develop these storylines. That had a ton of stuff smooshed into less than 200 pages. Wonder Woman is trying to juggle being in the Justice League, being Queen of the Amazons, not to mention being the God of War. It doesn’t help when her mother’s clay statue gets destroyed, and a new ‘perfect Amazon’ appears. It’s a familiar face to readers though, and I did sorta like how this woman was introduced. And I hope we get to see more of her in the future. My favorite part of the TPB though, was the short story at the end about Derione and Hippolyta. It illuminated why Derione did the things she did in the main story in the TPB. I also found that with this TPB now I’m sorta looking forward to what’s next for Wonder Woman and the Amazons again. I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment aucune critique | ajouter une critique
