Susan says: This is a great, peppy book about the cheerleading world and one teen who is trying not to get lost in it. Annisa was transplanted from New Jersey in the first book, I was a Non-Blonde Cheerleader, and is just finding her own spot on the cheerleading team when nationals approaches. She is dealing with a lot of things, including a non-committal boyfriend, the team’s pressure to dye her hair blonde, her best friend and old squad from New Jersey also being at nationals, and many other things. Throughout the whole book I felt like there was too much going on – too many balls in the air, but all of the plot lines were resolved well at the end. Things were not perfect, but it was a positive ending. This is a great book for kids who like Bring It On – the physical work of cheerleading is romanticized, but the friendships and teamwork is not. ( ) Nationals are fast approaching, and tension is doing everything but give the squad hives. But Anissa has other worries - specifically, is, or is not, Daniel her boyfriend? If he still has feelings for Sage, his catty ex, she'll be devastated, and the signals the boy's sending are definitely mixed. Things aren't easy on the friendship front, either - especially when her new squad bumps square into her old New Jersey squad at nationals. Juggling friendships and team loyalties, not to mention boys doesn't make for a stress-free Anissa, that's for sure. Plus, her squad seems to think having only one brunette on the team is distracting. Will Anissa remain a non-blonde cheerleader? Still not a lot of substance, but Anissa's misadventures and dilemmas make for entertaining reading. For fluffy books about high school cheerleaders, you could do a lot worse. Wonderful shows that girls will do anything to fit in and sometimes it does not turn out for the best and that things are hard in teenage life. Still the only non-blonde on her Florida cheerleading squad, sixteen-year-old Annisa makes some decisions about how far she will go to fit in with her team while also staying true to herself. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
