This is a wonderful book from almost a non-western perspective, as Thurman spent many years in Asian studying Tibetan Buddhism. He quotes Shantideva: "Whatever joy there is in this world, all comes from wanting others to be happy; and whatever suffering there is in this world, all comes from wanting oneself to be happy." An inner revolution indeed.
