This was the last book in the bundle I purchased and unfortunately it was also lacking. I will not be following this series any further. There are just to many problems with it for me.

The writing itself is lacking. The flow is off making the scenes jumpy. The whole thing comes off sophomoric. The actions of all the characters, main & supporting, come off completely unrealistic. Add to that, there are typos/editing errors.

The characters all feel 2 dimensional. The dialog is a clumsy and awkward. Thoughts are highly repetitive.

It is supposed to be a high suspense and crime story. While there is F.B.I. and cops and criminals galore, none of it comes off even remotely believable.

As for the 'Adult' scenes, well, they were very mild. Super low steam. The romance/relationship between Carly & Ethan really needed a lot more construction. They needed to come off more adult.

There is just no real intensity nor connection to any of the characters.

I'm very disappointed. There are a few books in different series I have read of [a:Cynthia Eden|153738|Cynthia Eden|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1272331735p2/153738.jpg]'s that I enjoyed very much. This series is not one of them.

I cannot recommend this book nor the series.

It has a few redeeming qualities. There aren't a ton of errors. There was a few times it was interesting. While the writing wasn't great, it also was not horrendous. It was basically 'Okay', ( )

Finally the book about Ethan, the bad boy everybody loves to hate but beating within that solid chest is a heart of gold. And Carly, who has always loved him, sins, scars and all. They would be the classic Bonnie & Clyde couple if they both weren't genuinely good people at heart.

Even Ethan's stalkerish behavior and caveman attitude doesn't drive Carly away; instead it draws her closer because she knows that there is no place safer in the world than at Ethan's side. And of course together they are unstoppable, no one can get to them or between them as long as they are together. Really enjoyed reading Ethan and Carly's story. It was about time that the bad guys got a happy ending.

This is another wonderful book in a series that keeps the suspense and action coming with each and every one. The story line is unique and proves to be addictive as the reader will want to keep turning the pages just to see how this one will turn out. With all the twists and turns this one takes it will keep the reader on the edge of their seat until the very end. This is one author that always delivers great books no matter which series the reader is reading. ( )

An excellent story. Carly had been kidnapped and raped by her psycho boss when she was a teenager. Ethan, who is in love with Carly and would give his life for her. is also being held, helped her kill him. It's now years later and Carly has never truly gotten over her past ordeal and now finds again, that someone is after her. Ethan's feelings haven't changed and he comes to the rescue.
A tense, thriller/romance that with keep you guessing right to the end, a real page turner. Good strong characters, and nice storyline. 5/5. ( )
