Well written documentary covering the B-52 bombing campaign. This book pulls no punches and you will find yourself cheering on the BUFF crews while at the same time experiencing frustration with the air force commanders sending them into battle. This is one of those books you become engrossed in and find impossible to put down. The true story here is definitely the crews who took a strategic bomber designed to drop nuclear bombs and successfully turned it into a tactical weapon for use against North Vietnam.
I cannot recommend this book enough to any follower of either the Cold War or Vietnam War history. ( )
