Called for Life is about a medical missionary family caring for people in Liberia. While there, Kent gets Ebola. The story is heartfelt and touching. Told from both Kent & his wife, Amber's, perspectives with an honest voice. It brought tears to my eyes during the intense and emotional times when Ken almost died. A bonus is that you can look up YouTube footage of some of the happenings in the book. Great read! ( ) Excellent book - even though I'm biased with a background in Liberian healthcare (having worked at ELWA hospital soon after the war ended), I still believe that anyone who enjoys autobiographical works will enjoy this book. This is the reality of struggling with one's own mortality while grieving for others who are in even more dire straits. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
The story of Dr. Kent and Amber Brantly's call to serve their neighbors, as well as Kent's fight for life against Ebola, and Amber's struggle to support him from half a world away. Dr. Brantly reminds readers of the risk, honor, and joy to be known when God and others are served without reservation. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
