This book is playful and fun to read to children. I would say this book is tailored towards children first learning to count, so like prek or kindergarten but I think you can try to make connections with math with older primary grade students. ( ) I would recommend this book for younger elementary school students because it is going through the concept of counting and that is a basic math skill they learn at a young age. This book would be good for teaching students how to count and improve their math skills. I think it would be in the range of K-2nd grade because you are able to do other math problems with the book other than just counting. This charming cardboard book narrates a story where a hippo invites many other hippos to his party, beginning with 2, then 3, 4, and so forth. This counting book can be great for those foundational counting skills in kindergarten, but can be taken to higher level mathematics through the fourth grade as topics of algebra and patterns and sequences can be studied throughout. This book is meant for primary aged students. This picture book depicts a party of hippos, as they show in in groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, and on until the last group of 9 hippos appear. This book delves into simplistic mathematical concepts, like counting and addition, in a fun and engaging way. I would use this in the classroom to help students understand math, especially students first starting math in school. This can be taught to beginning students, though these concepts can be made more abstract with older kids as well. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
