Only one thing could get Lee Wynn to wash his ancient, rusted and mud splattered truck, a disapproving look from Delaney Daughtry Rice. "Lee Wynn, you are an environmental hazard." The redhead yells, wrinkling her nose at the truck's black exhaust before driving off in her convertible. Lee is a master of intarsia and inlay but he considers WynnWoods to be doing well if he can pay his ex-wife's mortgage and hand over a monthly check for his two daughters. Satisfaction comes from fishing with his best friend, waterskiing with his girls and a finely made piece of furniture. After a humiliating betrayal, Delaney is moving into her grandparent's old river house. Looking for furniture to fill up the rambling mansion Delaney places an order with the local woodworker choosing a plain design and forgoing Lee's acclaimed wildlife motifs. While admiring his craftsmanship the ambitious executive finds his laid back approach to business puzzling if not frustrating since Delaney will only be satisfied when she accomplishes her goal and takes the reins of the Daughtry Grain Enterprises. Stressed and lonely Delaney is drawn to Lee, his calm, his strength and the simplicity of his life. She finds herself dropping by his small house on the river telling herself she is there to check on the progress of her order. In her world where expectations are everything Delaney never expected a man like Lee Wynn to fit into her life. Or does he? There is always a deal breaker. And Delaney sets out to find it.… (plus d'informations)
