Several impressions of the same print are often shown in different stages, while the drawings have been selected on the basis of their relation to the evolution of the design or imagery of a print. Two of Goya's major series, the Desastres and the Disparates, never published during his lifetime, are represented by an unusually large number of working proofs which were printed by or for the artist and which reveal his original intentions. - Dust jacket.… (plus d'informations)
