I really enjoyed this book. This book explains certain rituals/activities that animals do, but it phrases it in a way that acts like it's telling the readers to do perform these tasks. This unique way of writing information as a step by step instruction for readers makes it interesting and fun. I can see this being used in a classroom by having the students act out the instructions on a particular page. ( )

Love the illustrations, and the style. A fun how-to book so you can learn how to do cool stuff like animals! I learned that capuchin monkeys rub millipedes all over themselves because the millipede toxin repels biting insects. Also, sometimes crows will drop nuts on the road so that cars will break them open. ( )

This book is an instruction manual for how to do animal activities just like the animals themselves. You can learn how to woo an ewe like a mountain goat, how to catch a wildebeest like a crocodile, and how to, of course, swallow a pig, like a python. I like this book because the author has a sense of humor because the book is written like any human could act like these animals if we just try our hardest! I also like that this book is written in small chucks of directions that are numbered with supportive pictures. I would use this to introduce certain animals. I could introduce one or two animals a day. It is a great book for teaching about how animals adapt to their environment or work to survive. I could read it is a read-aloud or provide this book as a resource of research for students to become experts in. ( )

This book teaches students about the different things animals do and how to do them. For instance, it describes how to dance like a grebe, decorate like a bowerbird, build a nest like a wasp, or hunt like a reddish egret, and more.
