Short excerpts from Darwin`s voyage on the Beagle. Perfect to raise interest but I only can advise to read the whole book. ( )

Its a brilliant little introduction to the work of the great naturalist, geologist and biologist Charles Darwin. If you are active in any of these fields the commitment of Darwin to solving the geological history of the world, why bones conserve, why subspecies die, etc. is in your wheelhouse. Darwins constant observations and his enthousiasm in these is comparable to setting loose a child in a candy shop. So for biologists, naturalists,... this is a good introduction to hearing Darwins voice. To people who aren't naturalists, biologists or at an amateur level of interest in these matters, maybe not a recomendation?
Don't be fooled by its poetic title if you are here for classic literature... its a tale of science during the age of exploration. A book for fans of Charles Darwin with scientific inclinations. ( )
