I'm not a huge fan of Catrow's illustration style, but it's a cute story and kids will enjoy the humor. ( ) I enjoyed reading this book for a few reasons. First, the plot was very humerous, cute and easy to follow along to. A dog and his fish are going to the beach for the day and they share the many activities they do when they get there. This includes finding a spot on the sand, riding the waves, and flying kites. Secondly, the characters in this story were very interesting. The main character of the story was an interesting looking dog, who happened to have fish for "pets". I liked how the story switched the normal roles of humans going to the beach. Animals have fun at the beach too! Lastly, the illustrations definitely enhanced the story since there wasn't much text. They were not only very bright and colorful, but they also were very detailed. By looking at the illustrations closely, you will notice different things happening in the picture that you may not have of noticed from looking at first glance. I noticed that the ice cooler you bring to the beach was labeled "EGLUE". I believe the big idea/ message of this story is the many ways you can have in the summer. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Illustrations and easy-to-read text relate a trip to the beach that features a man in a funny hat--or hat on a funny man, a sandy lunch and swimsuit, and a high-flying kite. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
