A graphic novel of Steve Jobs’s life and the story behind Apple Computers. This is a story of dedication, success and failure, and Jobs’s continuing legacy. Bibliography. The title of this biography is Steve Jobs. This is not a ordinary biography it is a graphic biography. Steve Jobs is the creator of Apple, he was an interesting character who was a perfectionist. As a kid he would like to tinker with things like a car with his dad. He had his own workbench. His parents told him that he was adopted but it did not really affect him. At the age of 13 he was smarter than most of the kids in his school. When he started high school, he met a college student who shared the same interest his name was Woz. Woz and Steve built their own computer when Steve was in college. He dropped out of college after a year and made his own living. Then Woz and Steve created their own company and they named it Apple and it became a huge success. Woz left the company after a year to go back to college. Steve now the CEO of Apple released a new computer the Mac and the Mac 2 which were both a big success. After that Steve hired the CEO of Pepsi to help him mange the company. They argured a lot but somehow they manged to get with Disney and make a movie. Apple owns Pixar and they worked together to make a film called Toy Story. Then Steve was starting to become difficult to work with and soon afterward he was forced out from his own company. He lived very simply even though he was a multimillionaire. Steve started another company called Next and then he met his wife Laurene. After 12 years Apple ask Steve to come back because they are almost bankrupt. Steve accepts to come back but cuts back a lot of the products Apple was trying to make. He sets out to make three things a new computer, an iPad, and a new phone. The new phone is amazing with touchscreen technology and the new iPad is a technological breakthrough. Apple now was now has been revived by these products. Before the products became a success Steve was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but did not want to share it with the community because he thought that they would lose faith in him. Steve Jobs died of cancer on October 5 ,2011 at the age of 56. His last words were “Oh wow”. I think that this was a fantastic biography of Steve Jobs. This book talked about an ordinary person like you and me and how he made his fortune. I thought that Steve Jobs had an incredible personality because he was so smart. I think that he did it for the money he just wanted something that everyone could have that would revolutionize the future. This is by far one of my favorite nonfiction books that I have read. It is about someone that was important in our history. I would recommend this book because I think that this is a book that everyone can read. This book has a lot of information on his life. Summary: this book is a biography about the life and accomplishments of Steve Jobs. This book is more like a graphic novel that includes handwritten texts and lots of great illustrations. Personal review/classroom use: I actually really enjoyed this book and I'm not someone who likes reading biographies for fun. I think teenagers in middle school would really enjoy this book as well since it has a lot of illustrations and handwritten text that engages its' audience.
