An enlightening anthology by world-rekowned theologians, historians and researchers that exposes and challenges Misrepresentations and age-old beliefs. With an introducion by ABC Radio Talk Show Host Bill Jenkins.
Although there is much information contained in this work, it feels somewhat haphazardly compiled. Additionally, some of what it discusses seem to be more in the realm of urban legend or conspiracy theory rather than reputable fact. Still, there's a lot of food for thought, and the book is readable. ( )

Go forth, my book, and take whatever pounding The heavy-fisted destinies prepare. I know you are not anything astounding, And, to be quite sincere, I don't much care. Get off your overcoat. The gong is sounding. The enemy has risen from his chair. He doesn't look so overwhelming, but His arm is long. Watch for an uppercut.

(Preface by Tim Leedom): The Book you are holding in your hands is delivered to you with the hope that some fires will be ignited in your mind.
(Introduction by Bill Jenkins): There seem to be three subjects which are among the most important things in life ... politics, sex, and religion.
Fourteen organizations in this country, ranging from People for the American Way, to the National Education Association, have issued a document that informs parents and teachers that public schools can be a proper place to teach Comparative Religions as an academic discipline.

It is, and will forever be, as long as our human race exists— the old, everlasting, perennial mythology, in its "subjective sense," addressed to the waking of individuals in the knowledge of themselves, not simply as egos fighting for place on the surface of this beautiful planet, but equally as centers of Mind at Large—each in his own way at one with all, and with no horizons.
