I cared enough to finish it. But I skimmed the last half to see what happens. The ending is good. ( )

As expected an amazing story! As usual with all of Tracy Brogans books, I consume them the day they are released and smile long after I finish them. This is another great Bell Harbor story which has Grant Connelly finally returning home. When he meets Elaine Masters (aka Delaney Masterson) in a most dramatic fashion, he has no idea of the craziness his life is about to take on or how fantastic it will make him feel. You don't want miss this one so put it on the must read list. I highly recommend it. ( )

Love Me Sweet is the third book in the Bell Harbor Series by Tracy Brogan.

As the daughter of a rock star, Delaney Masterson, grew up in the limelight and her family reality show has only increased her notoriety as a wild-child. She is used to people thinking of her as a party girl, but when her ex-boyfriend releases a secretly recorded sex tape of her, Delaney realizes she has had enough of the crazy media and needs a change in scenery.
Delaney withdraws her savings, buys a cheap car and drives north to Bell Harbor, Michigan. There she rents a house for 6 months. Her plan is to wait out the scandal and then return to California and to her family.
Grant Connelly has kept his distance from his family. After being many years away, he finally returns to Bell Harbor for his brother wedding. His idea was to surprise his family, but he is the one surprised when he arrives to his house and finds Delaney living there. In his absence his mother rented his house to Delaney; she paid the six months rent in advance in cash. The only problem with this is Grant’s mother, Donna, already spent the money. Grant and Delaney decided to share the house until Grant can get some money to pay her back, an arrangement that is working for them. What they were not counting was in Donna stealing the money Delaney kept and home and skipping town.
Grant knows he needs to catch his mother before she spends all of Delaney’s money. Together they embark on a road trip in the worst weather conditions of recent decades. What ensues helps them to get even closer; but Delaney is keeping secrets from Grant, secrets that could tear them apart.

4 "A Whole Lot of Craziness Leads to Fun and Ultimately Love" Stars! Lovers of romantic comedies will not want to miss "Love Me Sweet". Brought together by the convergence of a number of sequences of unlikely events, Love Me Sweet proves that when you meet Mr. or Mrs. Right, there is no denying it, no matter how instantaneous or unlikely it may seem.

While Love Me Sweet is the third book in the Bell Harbor Series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Although I did have the benefit of reading The Best Medicine, book 2 in this series first, where I was introduced to the hero's family, the romance between the primary couple in this book is fully contained within its pages, so you will not be lost if you have not read any of the prior books.

Delaney Masterson has gone through a tough stretch. Not only is her family participating in a reality TV show that she only reluctantly participates in, but the paparazzi have recently made her a tabloid sensation following her ex-boyfriend's release of a sex tape which she had previously been unaware of. In a desperate attempt to find privacy, she flees LA and heads to the one place that she figures that the media will not be able to find her, Bell Harbor, Michigan (a small town burried in snow, as it's the dead of winter).

There she pays cash up front for a six-month rental where she hopes to hide out until the media finds it's next target. Little does she know though that the woman she rents from does not actually own the house. Her son, who has been traveling the world as a cameraman for One Man, One Planet, does. Moreover his unanticipated return home for his brother's wedding (the hero from Best Medicine), never mind his spur of the moment resignation, brings it all to a head when given the weather, and a number of other factors, Delaney and Tyler are forced to be unexpected and reluctant roommates.

Needless to say the sparks fly, but concerned with her location being revealed to the media, Delaney had rented the house under an alias. A fact which she keeps intending to disclose to Ty but, as one crazy event leads to another, she keeps postponing. Oh, and did I mention that Ty as a showbiz native despises Hollywood fame seekers? Can true love survive in the end when the inevitable, never mind a whole string of other humorous obstacles, come barreling along?

All in all, I found Love Me Sweet to be a humorous, light and entertaining romantic read. This is one book that is sure to keep you smiling throughout and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling in the end!

For a sun-kissed California girl like Delaney Masterson, frostbitten Bell Harbor was a ridiculous place to hide, which - naturally - made it the perfect place to hide.
