Having worked as a government employee for 35 years, during which time he tirelessly compiled statistics, Pyne decides to set himself up as a 'heart specialist'. Renting a London office and hiring the ferociously efficient Miss Felicity Lemon (who would go on to work for Mr Hercule Poirot ), Pyne sets about solving marital and romantic problems with the help of some extraordinary role-playing... Another Christie character who does remind me of Poirot. A retired man who advertises in newspapers - "Are you happy? If not consult Mr Parker Pyne, 17 Richmond Street." Most people come to him for the heck since they have nothing to lose.

So, in every episode, Mr. Pyne solves a case. Two more famous mysteries that is part of this collection are - Death at the Nile and Problem at the Pollensa Bay.

Though Agatha Christie has her own charm, I now felt that some of the stories were bit juvenile. May be I am finally outgrowing them. :) ( )
