Good crime mystery, wonderful coastal CT locale, rich characters. A little too much description and backstory, but Rice milks the emotions from this book. I didn't like that Bay's husband had affairs or that the author had the children learn of the affairs. I also didn't like that Eliza had so many issues (cutting, eating disorders, etc.) and that at the end, there's a scene between Bay and Eliza's dad that goes a bit too far and isn't really necessary to tie up the story. (
