Juliette is perfectly content with her quiet nights at home alone, especially when they include Mr. Yu's takeout and sappy RomComs. But her sisters think she's teetering on the brink of spinsterhood. So they've come up with an intervention plan: weekly blind dates until their Jules finds her knight in shining armor… or until they run out of single guy friends. They're calling it The Monday ManDates. Survival skills kicking in, Juliette secretly names each new Monday man. There's TheraPaul, Frisky Frank, and TAZ the Rock Star, for starters. Then there's the Officer Manly Man, the policeman with a penchant for pulling Juliette over when she's at her very worst. With a lineup like that, positively identifying her happily-ever-after seems like a long shot. Then again, maybe, just maybe, she's looking for love in all the wrong places.… (plus d'informations)

The title character in Juliette and the Monday ManDates is quirky, endearing, and sometimes painfully fallible. Accompanying her as she navigates relationships, faith, and emotional growth is a warm and funny journey.

The secondary characters are colorful enough to be entertaining, while relatable enough to be realistic. I especially enjoyed the Trevor character, with his engaging, no-nonsense approach to sharing faith.

I recommend this book as an entertaining and uplifting read. ( )

This was a wonderful read!!! I am already wanting to find the sequel. While the book shows a family of four sisters, the book really zeros in on Juliette. The three sisters have decided to create an intervention of sorts to get Juliette out of her slump and back in the dating game. I won't go beyond this, but I will say that I love the humor, the sense of love and loyalty among the sisters, and the fact that this is a good clean romance based on faith and the knowledge that God knows best.

I hope my library has book two or I'll be sorely disappointed! ( )

My first, but definitely not my last book by Becky Doughty. This book has it all. In some places, I found myself laughing out loud, in others, I was crying along with Juliette. I loved the wholesome romance portion of the story. I look for this type of book, one that I can recommend to my daughter and grand-daughter. I know it got some mixed reviews on the authenticity to characters like Taz and for the "Preachiness" of the story. I did not find it to be "Preachy" at all. I found the Bible references to be part of establishing the personality of the characters and not directed to the reader. Fortunately, there are still young adults out there. like Taz and Vincent who are trying to live lives sold out to God and with His help are willing to wait. Thank you, Becky, for writing such interesting, clean romance novels. Can't wait to read the next one. ( )
