okay welllll this just isn't my cup of tea. Love Nalini Singh but not really into this one. Maybe I'll pick it up again one day.

This book had a lot of unnecessary sex. And this isn't be being a prude or whatever. But the story of Fox and Molly getting to know each other and falling for each other was actually put on hold for me whenever I would have to roll my eyes at yet another sex scene.

In the end, I really liked this book. But the beginning had a pretty rocky start in my opinion. For no apparent reason, Fox, this hot, sexy rock god, decides he wants Molly, a media shy librarian from New Zealand. And for probably even worse reasons, Molly decides to agree to a one night stand with him that turns into a one month stand. I mean, eventually we see that, again for reasons unknown, Fox sees Molly and decides he has to have her. Fortunately Molly is obsessed with the rock star and figures, virgin that she is, why not have an affair with him?

Eventually we begin to see each fall for the other and the story begins to make sense and becomes enjoyable. I end up liking Molly and Fox and the rest of the band quite a bit and I'm really interested in getting to Charlotte, David/Thea, Noah, and Abe's stories. ( )

New author for me.
I will say this book has a lot of sex.
Once you get past that there is a good story.
Both Hero and heroine having interesting backgrounds that cause issues with trying to be together.
The Hero falls for her straight away and is all in.
There are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and.
Other woman drama at times due to his fame but he is not interested.
He has a man-whore type past early on in his career but isn't like that anymore.
He is very discreet about his private life.
We are introduced to other members of the band and her friend and her boss so plenty of material for more stories in the series with the breadcrumbs dropped.

Plot:
Molly has always played it safe in her life, following the rules, careful not to attract undue attention. Instead he suggests that they take a month for their fling. I have been reading Singh’s Psy-Changeling series for a while now (and still love it), but her Guild Hunter series wasn’t my cup of tea. So, when she announced a new series that centers a rock band, I didn’t jump at it because rock bands also aren’t necessarily my thing (well, to listen to, absolutely, but to fantasize about, not so much). But then there was a day where this novel was free, so I thought, it’s the ideal opportunity to see if I didn’t love it after all. And what can I say? I guess I have another series of Singh’s that I’m going to follow now.

The first in a series of contemporary romances, I read book 2 first and the events in book 1 and 2 overlap but since I knew the couple in this book would be dating it really didn’t ruin the story for me since this was more about how they got together and overcome having a relationship in the spotlight. This was a fun light read and I picked it up because I read her other series I’ll continue with this series for when I want some nice light reading. ( )
